Message to our Students

Ms. Asma Nainar – Director

Greetings from MBIS – Kelambakkam.

“Education is not the learning of facts, but the training of the mind to think.” – Albert Einstein I am thrilled to see the return of our star students on campus after two years of online education. Through the experience of virtual learning, God has given us enough reasons to be grateful and appreciate the blessings of physical schooling. An empty school building without students and teachers is like a forest without the cheerful sounds of birds or a desert without sand and sunshine. On that note, I welcome each one of our students and educators back to the school, and I wish them an enjoyable yet fulfilling academic year ahead.

As we follow the Cambridge curriculum at MBIS-K, we endeavor to mold our students into confident, responsible, reflective, innovative and engaged learners who are future-ready and equipped with problem-solving skills. Hence, we not only strive to pursue academic excellence but also work to encourage and enhance critical thinking.

This academic year, the school has taken on the tagline, “school of thoughts” in order to help our students extend their thoughts and visions for a better understanding of the world today. Faced with a rapidly changing world, our learners are motivated to think about their place in the world and how they would like it to be in the future. I, therefore, urge all students of the school to keep an eye out for more communications about this paradigm shift from the teachers and senior leaders of the school.

I am also fortunate to work with a brilliant team of affable yet innovative educators who aim to produce divergent thinkers by not limiting students to just their textbooks. Here at MBIS-K, educators do not thwart the students from sharing new ideas as we believe that each individual learner has unique thoughts and deserves to gain recognition. Moreover, we employ effective teaching-learning strategies such as inquiry-based learning, experiential learning and differentiated techniques so that each learner gets the best out of their learning experience.

While our school continues to grow with opportunities to broaden our horizons every day, I earnestly wish the best for each and every learner as well as educator. May our school reach new heights and our students shine like the diamonds they are this academic year. Blessings to all. Welcome back with love and prayers for a great academic year, 2022-23.
