About the Event
“The art and science of asking questions is the source of all knowledge.” – Thomas Berger. Science is one of the greatest collective endeavours of humanity. It significantly contributes to our understanding of the world and offers answers to questions as well as solutions that benefit millions across the globe. On an attempt to magnify the impact of science on our children, we threw a momentous event to celebrate National Science Day 2023 on the theme 'Global Science for Global Wellbeing' in the Library. The event commenced by invoking God's blessings, followed by thought for the day in three languages and speech by Vedhav of Grade V disguised as Sir C V Raman. Raghavendra of Grade IX presented the life and history of Fritz Haber who was known as a man who killed millions to save billions. Our team of music teachers scripted a song on Science behind musical instruments and the performance by our middle school students was indeed a moment to behold. Next came the most awaited segment of the event - 'Quiz competition'. There were two teams shortlisted following a preliminary round on February 27, 2023. The team of students competed with a true spirit of forthrightness and attained draw at the end of three rounds. The team Supersonic won the quiz competition in the tie breaker question in a difference of few milliseconds. The event came to a dashing finish with enthralling stalls set within the venue. The young scientists presented numerous interesting facts, models, inventions and games that was intentionally reserved for the climax of the event. Huge credits to Nandhini of Grade X who led the entire event with her exceptional language skills within a short notice.
